AMD has launched the EPYC 4005 Series processors, offering affordable, high-performance solutions for small businesses and hosted service providers.
AMD has unveiled its new EPYC™ 4005 Series processors, designed to deliver enterprise-grade performance in an affordable, easy-to-deploy platform. These chips target small and medium businesses and hosted IT service providers who need powerful solutions without the complexity or high cost.
The new processors use AMD’s proven AM5 socket and are suitable for various form factors, including servers, blades, and tower systems. AMD claims its 16-core EPYC 4565P outperforms Intel’s 6th-gen Xeon 6300P by up to 1.83x in Phoronix benchmark testing.

Lenovo’s Senthil Reddy said the new processors help small businesses “prepare for the AI era.”
OVHcloud CTO Yaniv Fdida praised their “outstanding performance-price ratio,” Supermicro’s Vik Malyala highlighted the platform’s support for modern tech like PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory.
Vultr CEO J.J. Kardwell announced the immediate availability of new cloud compute instances, calling the 4005 Series “scalable, efficient, and developer-friendly.”
